I love Lee Christine's legal suspense stories and this delightful rural romance manages to include a touch of legal suspense too. Home for good from his third tour of duty, Cam has a chance to get to know the woman he met years earlier. But Rhiannon has a secret that threatens to disrupt her new-found peace in Bindarra Creek. And that's without her heart getting caught up with Cam.This is book 2 in a great rural romance series and can be read as a standalone book but I think you'll thoroughly enjoy getting into the town and meeting all the characters of this wonderful fictional community.

Loved the characters. I felt like I was there with them in the small town. I was surprised about the villain. But loved the HEA ending
Cameron Reid’s return to his home town of Bindarra Creek was a quiet one – he didn’t announce his presence and he knew his dad wouldn’t have. But his arrival just before dawn in the foggy streets of town was anything but peaceful. With an immediate flashback to the horrors of Iraq spiking his adrenalin he slammed to a stop – but… he was in Bindarra Creek, not Iraq…
Cameron’s father Jed and sister Tori were happy to see Cameron home at last; the excitement as sixteen year old Tori squealed and threw herself into his arms was contagious. But Cam was saddened to see the deterioration in his father’s health – now he was home he would be able to take the reins and restore the family cattle station Bindarra Downs, to the way it once was.
Rhiannon Scott was a city girl; from Sydney and her job in a big hospital, she was now a nurse in the little surgery in town. Shadows of the Heart is another great instalment of the Bindarra Creek series. I’m thoroughly enjoying these stories; uniquely written by different authors, all blending the small town and their people together. Cameron and Rhiannon’s story is delightful; meeting up with characters I’ve met in the previous books is like catching up with old friends. Highly recommended.
I really like the writing style of this author and bought another book from her and since I am pretty hard to please when it comes to romance books, that is quit an accomplishment.
Different from her usual romantic suspense, but no less enjoyable. This foray into rural/small town romance showcases Lee Christine's diversity as an author and a skill that keeps readers entertained. Shadows of the Heart is book 3, a standalone story from the Bindarra Creek Romance series.
Another fabulous read it sure does sucks u in I couldn't put this on down loved it . I would recommend it to anyone that likes a good love story
Love reading about war-weary heroes looking for peace but finding love and hope for a future they never anticipated. A nice touch of suspense set in a small country town with characters with a past. Great story.
